Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."
Journey To Truth, formerly Bible 101, classes are designed to provide a foundational understanding of the Bible, its origins, and its teachings.
The Bible, also known as the Sacred Scriptures, is the medium through which God communicates with us, revealing not only divine truths but also His very essence.
The Bible is divided into two main parts: the Old Testament, which parallels the scriptures of the Jewish faith and prepares us for the coming of Jesus Christ, and the New Testament, which narrates the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and interprets these events for our salvation.
The Old Testament includes the Pentateuch, Historical Books, Wisdom and Poetry Books, and Prophetic Books, while the New Testament helps us fully understand the meaning of the Old Testament.
Journey To Truth classes also teach how to interpret the Bible, understanding its context, inspiration, and literary forms.
The Bible is a narrative that points us to Jesus and helps us understand ourselves and how we relate to Him.
By the end of a Journey To Truth class, students should have a working knowledge of the Bible.

MEETING
Deaconesses are blessed women, called by God to serve His church. They are spiritual warriors, equipped to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through acts of compassion, spiritual guidance, and imparting the teachings of the Christian faith.
The term ‘Deaconess,’ derived from the Greek word ‘diakonos,’ signifies a ‘servant of the Lord.’ This title is a testament to their humble and selfless service, mirroring Christ’s own ministry. Phoebe, mentioned in Romans 16:1-2, was a faithful servant to Paul and many others, often regarded as the inaugural deaconess.
As deaconesses, these women are the hands and feet of Christ on Earth, embodying His love and grace in their service. They minister to the needs of the congregation, provide spiritual care, and teach the tenets of the Christian faith, all while exemplifying the virtues of humility, compassion, and devotion. Their service is a beacon of God’s love, guiding others towards the path of righteousness.

Becoming a member of our grounds committee is a wonderful opportunity to serve and steward our church! Here is what the Bible tells us about our responsibility in stewardship:
The Bible teaches us about stewardship—caring for God’s creation. In Genesis 2:15, God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden to “work it and take care of it.” Similarly, maintaining our church grounds is a way to honor God by caring for the environment He has entrusted to us.
In 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Paul compares the church to a body, with each member having a unique role. Just as hands and feet work together, the grounds committee collaborates to beautify and maintain the church property. By serving together, you contribute to the overall health and function of the church.
Seek God’s guidance as you join the grounds committee. In Colossians 3:23, Paul encourages us to work heartily as if working for the Lord. Pray for wisdom, patience, and a servant’s heart as you engage in tasks like mowing, planting, and landscaping.
The grounds committee provides an opportunity for fellowship. As you work alongside others, build relationships, share stories, and encourage one another. Acts 2:42 describes the early church’s devotion to fellowship—meeting together, breaking bread, and praying.
When you trim hedges, plant flowers, or rake leaves, do it with gratitude. Psalm 100:4 reminds us to “enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” Every act of service on the church grounds can be an act of worship.
Remember, your role on the grounds committee is not just about physical labor; it’s about glorifying God through stewardship, unity, and community.
